Art and Design Technology
At Cadmore End, children explore ideas, develop practical skills and take pride in what they create. In art, they experiment with materials and techniques, learn about artists and use sketchbooks to develop their ideas. In design technology, they design, make and evaluate products for a purpose, learning to use tools and materials safely.
We plan both subjects across a two-year cycle for our mixed-year classes. Children revisit and build on their learning as they move through the school. Teaching is adapted so that every child can take part and make progress.
Children can also enjoy making and creating beyond lessons through opportunities such as our craft club.
